The ACLPA is a centre of interdisciplinary expertise on the legal professions and access to justice. It reflects on the place and duties of the legal professions under the rule of law, in the pursuit of justice and the protection of fundamental rights.

Main activities

The ACLPA's main activities are:

  • Conducting research on the legal professions and access to justice
  • Contributing to the public debate
  • Providing training and education to (future) legal professionals  
  • Engaging with stakeholders in the justice system  

The ACLPA is unique in that it combines legal theory and empirical research with experience and insights from legal practice, among other things through the special chairs attached to the practice.
